Crisis Hotline

Call 650-579-0350 for 24/7 crisis support.

The 24/7 Crisis Hotline is the oldest program of the Crisis Center and StarVista, and was the third crisis hotline to be created in California. The crisis center fielded over 14,000 calls in 2020, and continues to evolve and grow as a program to meet community needs.

For those who are feeling depressed, suicidal – or who just want to talk to someone about problems they’re facing – the 24/7 hotline offers a free, safe, confidential place for people to explore feelings, vent frustrations, clarify problems and get referrals. Trained volunteers and staff treat callers with empathy and compassion and provide referrals for community resources and services.

Who can call the crisis line:

  • Anyone who feels sad, hopeless, or suicidal

  • Family and friends who are concerned about a loved one

  • Anyone interested in mental health treatment and service referrals

  • Anyone who needs some support through a personal crisis
